I am Signe Johns, the founder and owner of SLJ Consultants, and this is truly my baby. Through a very circuitous path, I have arrived at this point of starting my business. Although, I have been doing similar things my whole professional (and personal) career.

I have always been someone who has understood that there are steps to everything and you have to put in the work, and create a solid foundation, in order to build to something larger. This is true in life and in business.

The picture to the right is one I personally took the first time I climbed Mount Washington. I believe that in many ways building a business, and having it be successful, is analogous to climbing a mountain. The hours I had to put into training, and slowly progressing to higher and higher mountains, all with the end goal of climbing this behemoth, are very similar to what we encounter as small business owners. Oftentimes I encounter business owners who say, “The systems are working for right now, but I as I grow, I don’t think they can be sustainable”. So, what we do is we go back to the beginning, and back to the basics, and see what is working, and what needs to be improved or elevated, so that one day, they have a business that is the Mount Washington for them!
